Find what’s missing
See the characters you have, the ones you’re missing,
and exactly where they belong. Every missing glyph is connected
to its Unicode block, glyphset, and the languages that use it.

Open View all languages to see every language your typeface
already covers at 100%.

Decide what comes next

FontSpan looks across your coverage and shows which missing glyphs could extend it the most. Instead of working through a long list of missing characters, you can see where a small addition could make a bigger difference.

Then export it. FontSpan saves your coverage as a PDF report, and you choose which sections go in: General Summary, Unicode Blocks, Google Fonts Glyphsets, Complete Languages, Incomplete Languages and Missing Glyphs.

BACK AND FORTH

Work with your .glyphs file
-
FontSpan can open your Glyphs source directly, so you don't need to export
a compiled font just to check your progress. Keep drawing in Glyphs while FontSpan
is open and the analysis refreshes when you save.
Click a missing glyph and Fontspan copies the exact glyph name Glyphs uses,
ready to paste into your source file.

questions related to our app.

1. Does FontSpan run on Windows? Not yet. Right now it's a native macOS.

2. What font formats does it read? .ttf, .otf, and .glyphs source files.

3. Which scripts does it cover? Latin, Cyrillic, and Greek, each with its own Unicode blocks, Google Fonts glyphsets, and language data.

5. Does FontSpan need an internet connection? Just briefly — to activate your license, and every so often in the background during the trial, to confirm when it started.Once it's activated, everything runs offline.

6. Do you offer refunds? Yes — refunds are handled by Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record.

7. What does the PDF report include?
You choose from six sections: General Summary, Unicode Blocks, Google Fonts Glyphsets, Complete Languages, Incomplete Languages and Missing Glyphs. The Missing Glyphs section lists each missing glyph once, with its name and Unicode value.
